Open Ride Saturday 13 September 2014
St Nicolas Church Café, Radstock
Meet from 12:00; ride leaves at 14:00
As part of the Tour of Britain visit to Bath, Somer Valley Cycling Club is organising an open invitation club ride for those who are interested in cycling with a club.
The ride will start and finish at St Nicholas Church on Saturday 13 September at 14:00. Anyone who would like to know how to get into cycling – and perhaps might consider joining SVCC – is invited for an informal chat over refreshments at St Nicholas Church Café from 12:00. SVCC members will be present to advise you on your choice of bike, and how to set your bike up for a comfortable ride. The ride will leave at 14:00; distance and pace will be adjusted for whomever turns up – so there is no danger of being left behind: just come and give it a go!
Somer Valley Cycling Club runs rides on Thursday morning, Friday evening and Sunday morning, as either social rides or fast rides. The club also runs its own time trials during the summer, a sportive in the spring and autumn (the next one is on 12th October) as well as a hill climb. SVCC is involved with the Odd Down Cycling Circuit, having organised the summer road race there on the 12th August.
