When we set off at the start of every ride, no-one wants to think of the unimaginable happening to them. However, there may be instances when accidents happen, and loved ones needs to be contacted as quickly as possible.
With this in mind, we will be asking whomever is leading the respective ride/s to ask their group to text them their name and an emergency contact number before the ride sets off. This way, the leader will have your mobile number to contact you if you lose contact with the main group on a ride; and we can contact your emergency contact if needed.
Please note that this will only need to be done once with that ride ‘leader’. When they have it, it won’t be required again unless it changes.
Like we say, this is something that will probably never be needed, but with a couple of incidents we have had over the last couple of months, it is felt that this would make what could be an extremely stressful situation a little easier!
