More Details
Not super hilly, but testing nevertheless! The ride starts with a trip over the Mendips and down the iconic Cheddar George. A bit of relief for the legs as you cross the Somerset Levels through Wedmore and on to Bruton, climb up King Alfred’s tower’ where magic flapjack awaits you at the feeding station. Onwards to the Wyle Valley and Salisbury Plain, through Warminister and on to the Mendips to the finish via Jack and Jill hill.
For those of you who want a more modest ride, we run the Mendip Imperial 50 at the same time. The route takes you through Wells, on to Bruton and the feeding station at King Alfred’s Tower. The return route skirts Frome, and back to the Mendips to the finish.
We encourage you all to enter the Imperial 100, especially if it’s your first, and we give you the option on the morning of the event to swap to the Imperial 50, if you feel the 100 is not for you.
The ride starts with a cup of tea or coffee and has a feeding station at the half way distance. The ride finishes with tea, coffee and cakes. All this is included in the entrance fee.
We can’t promise good weather but we are sure that you will enjoy a good ride in the company of many friendly riders!
For all riders the following facilities will be available:
- Parking
