Social Ride: “Night Rider”

We are trialling a new “Night Rider” social ride series this year

The new night ride, scheduled for the first Friday of each month, commences from the wheel at 7.30pm. If Metcheck predicts rain or frost, the ride is automatically postponed to the the following week. If subsequent Fridays are predicted to be wet or frosty, the ride is cancelled for that month.

Safety is paramount, so no lights means no ride. There will be a briefing and road condition report at 7.28, and at 7.29 entrants need to text their name to 077211 82359 so that we have a log of entrants, and the ability to contact them. Two members will be designated to form the Lanterne Rouge.

The route is just under 10 miles, and 700ft of climbing, so arrival at the Talbot inn Mells will be 8.15 to 8.20. The peleton will leave the pub at 9.00pm, returning by the cycle path for 9.25pm.

Members are of course welcome to make their own way to and from the pub. The purpose is fun and social!
