- Where: Layby East of Nunney Catch Roundabout (51°12’20.4″N 2°21’19.3″W) situated on Marston Road, A361, approximately 1.5 miles west of Sainsbury’s in Frome
- When: Every Tuesday from the last Tuesday in April to the First Tuesday in September
- Time: 18:40 sign-on for 19:00 start

NB: For 2015, the route has been altered very slightly. The start will be from the other end of the layby and it will be the rider’s decision to pull onto the A361. To compensate for the change in start, the finish will be slightly further up the ski slope, where the van used to park.
Eligibility to Enter
If you would like to ride, please remember that you have to be a member of an official cycling club, which is affiliated to Cycling Time Trials.
If you are a newcomer, you can ride once on a “come and try it” basis and you don’t have to be a member of an affiliated club. If you would like to ride again, you will need to join an affiliated club.
All SVCC members who have not yet renewed their membership for 2015, will need to do so before 28 April 2015 to be allowed to ride.
Event Details
The Race of Truth! This is just you and your bike against the clock. Come each week and watch your times improve. It is recommended that you have a rear light (constant or flashing) regardless of the time of year.
Arrive at the layby on the A361 near the Nunney Catch roundabout to sign on in plenty of time. The first rider is set off at 19:00 and every minute thereafter.
Proceed from the layby in a westerly direction along the A361 to the Nunney Catch roundabout; come full circle on the roundabout back along the A361 past the start.
At the next roundabout take the 2nd turning (right) to follow the A361 down the “ski slope”.
At the Blatchbridge roundabout proceed straight over to follow the A361.
Follow the A361 under 2 bridges to the next roundabout. Come full circle on the roundabout and retrace the route back along the A361 to the Blatchbridge roundabout.
Take the 2nd turning (straight over) at the Blatchbridge roundabout to continue along the A361 up the ski slope to the finish, which is approximately halfway way up.
Once you have completed the course return to the layby at the start to check your times. Please do not wait at the finish.
Be aware that the A361 is a busy trunk road and it is used by large HGVs. Please yield to traffic approaching from the right on the roundabouts and obey the Highway Code at all times.
