As you may know, we will unfortunately not be running Tuesday evening club time trials throughout the summer this year because no-one was available to run them, following Bob Latchem’s resignation of the post after many years’ hard work. Thank you Bob!
Members who wish to take part in the Improvers’ Points Competition and Vet on Standard (10 miles) Competition can enter the Frome & District Wheelers’ club events on Wednesday nights.
They use the same HQ as we did:
- Location: Marston lay-by near Frome
- Dates: Every Wednesday night, starting late-April (please contact Frome & District Wheelers for more information)
- Start Time: 19.00.
- Entry Fee: £3.00.
- Course: U375 (a variation of the SVCC course)
Regarding the Combined 2 x 30 km cup, we will use two Open Events from the WTTA Hardriders Series: Bath CC on Sunday 10 April (24 miles) and SVCC on Saturday 25 June (19 miles). To make the Combined event more interesting, we will have prizes for first, second and third overall; ladies, juveniles and juniors; and non-aero to encourage members who don’t have a time trial bike.
