A Thank-You Message From a Shropshire Cyclist

I meant to write this when I returned to Shropshire from my time down in Somerset. Anyway… whilst I was cycling from Radstock to Wells (and back) I punctured: not once but twice!

I thought that I would have to walk at least five miles back to Radstock, pushing my bike, when a cyclist pulled over and offered me a spare inner tube (he was on his way to Minehead I think). I accepted, of course, and gave him my mobile number so he could let me know of the best way in which I could repay him.

He thought that my problem may be the fact that I didn’t have any rim tape on my Campagnolo wheels. How right he was. The next day, I went into Radstock and bought the rim tape and haven’t punctured since!

Thank you to that cyclist who helped me out down in Somerset. Thank you a lot.
